Wonderful place. So much to see and do...Trails, picnic areas, the museum, historical fort, kayaking, a summer camp, beautiful views of Tellico Lake and the Blue Ridge mountains, etc. The park is well maintained and always striving to improve. It has the nicest rangers and staff.

About Fort Loudoun State Park

Initially built in 1756, the Fort Loudoun State Historic Park is the site of one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier. After the area became a state park in 1977, park staff established programs to showcase the historical roots with living history, monthly interpretive programs, and seasonal events.
