Donate to vote for Big Cypress Tree State Park as your favorite Tennessee State Park in the My TN State Park Fundraiser

For the entire month of April, Tennessee State Park supporters can donate to vote for their favorite Tennessee State Park. That means if Big Cypress Tree State Park is your favorite, you can donate to vote for us, and we’ll use your donations to improve our park!

Your votes show that our park is loved, meaningful, and supported, and because we retain the donated funds, we can make our park even better.

Your Donations at Work

Big Cypress Tree State Park is home to a variety of native wildflowers, such as the showy evening primrose and black-eyed Susans. With funds raised from the My TN State Park Fundraiser, our park aims to support local biodiversity with garden supplies and irrigation for the native wildflower garden beds.

Previously, generous support from the My TN State Park Fundraiser helped purchase seeds and landscaping timbers for 17 flower beds in our park's native/butterfly garden. Help Big Cypress Tree State Park preserve its natural beauty by showing your love and voting today!

Love this park! We have been coming for years for parties and just walks along the boardwalk. Would love to see it grow to include camping spots!

About Big Cypress Tree State Park

Big Cypress Tree State Park is named for the national champion bald cypress tree that once lived in the park. The tree was the largest bald cypress in the United States and the largest tree of any species east of the Mississippi River. In 1976, during a lightning storm, a strike caused the tree to die after living for more than 1,350 years. The park is a quaint, clean and relaxing spot to enjoy nature’s purity and beauty. A variety of native wild flowers and trees may be seen such as showy evening primrose, black-eyed Susans, yellow poplar, bald cypress and dogwood. Along with plant life there is an abundance of wildlife at Big Cypress and the park is popular location for birdwatchers. The park hosts several Boy Scout camporees each year as well as individual troop camping trips.
