Donate to vote for Savage Gulf State Park as your favorite Tennessee State Park in the My TN State Park Fundraiser

For the entire month of April, Tennessee State Park supporters can donate to vote for their favorite Tennessee State Park. That means if Savage Gulf State Park is your favorite, you can donate to vote for us, and we’ll use your donations to improve our park!

Your contributions significantly enhance the quality of our state parks. Donations support a range of vital projects, including improving hiking trails and bridges, conserving habitats for wildlife, upgrading playgrounds, installing interpretive signage, enhancing living conditions for our raptor friends, and bolstering equipment and supplies for emergency rescue services. Your support makes these essential projects possible, creating a better and more enjoyable experience for everyone who visits our state parks!

I lead hikes for women. Savage Gulf State Park has 3 very accessible waterfalls - Greeter, Boardtree & Laurel. The women love these waterfalls and trails. We go back year after year for their beauty and power.

I love this park so much! It's the closest park to me that almost feels like the Smokies. My favorite park in middle Tennessee.

About Savage Gulf State Park

Savage Gulf State Park, located in Grundy and Sequatchie counties, features one of Tennessee’s most scenic wilderness areas, including the nearly 19,000-acre Savage Gulf State Natural Area. The park offers approximately 60 miles of hiking to remarkable vistas, waterfalls, and historical locations such as the Stagecoach Road. The Great Stone Door is an impressive cliff line overlooking the Savage Gulf. It gets its name from a top-to-bottom crack in the cliff that runs from the top to the bottom, resembling a door left slightly ajar. This is one of the many ways to access the gulf below. Many of the trails are perfect for wildflower hunts as the hiker traverses the different environs of the top of the plateau and the deep gulfs.
