Donate to vote for Rock Island State Park as your favorite Tennessee State Park in the My TN State Park Fundraiser

For the entire month of April, Tennessee State Park supporters can donate to vote for their favorite Tennessee State Park. That means if Rock Island State Park is your favorite, you can donate to vote for us, and we’ll use your donations to improve our park!

Your contributions significantly enhance the quality of our state parks. Donations support a range of vital projects, including improving hiking trails and bridges, conserving habitats for wildlife, upgrading playgrounds, installing interpretive signage, enhancing living conditions for our raptor friends, and bolstering equipment and supplies for emergency rescue services. Your support makes these essential projects possible, creating a better and more enjoyable experience for everyone who visits our state parks!

First time visiting this past weekend. Stunning park! Well worth the 2+ hour drive getting here and we will definitely be back to camp. Met a ranger doing maintenance on Twin Falls downstream trail—they are really keeping up these trails very well! Thanks for a great outdoor adventure!

For the past 3 years we have gotten a cabin and met friends from near Nashville for a weekend in December. The cabins are a great value and fantastic places to stay, the rangers and the people who work in the gift shop are all nice and if we have had any issue they were right on it. We are looking forward to getting together here for many years.

My husband, grandchildren and I began camping here during Covid. It was our safe space and sanity in a crazy world. We love this park and all it offers- waterfalls, hikes, beach swimming, ranger programs in a relatively small package. Thank you Rangers for all you do!

About Rock Island State Park

Rock Island State Park is an 883-acre park located on the headwaters of Center Hill Lake at the confluence of the Caney Fork, Collins, and Rocky Rivers. Known for its rugged beauty and impressive waterfalls, the park includes the Caney Fork River Gorge (the gorge), one of Tennessee’s many national treasures. The gorge is a popular location for hiking and swimming offering deep-blue pools, scenic trails, and cascades—including Great Falls, a 30-foot waterfall located below the 19th-century cotton textile mill that it powered more than 100 years ago.
