Donate to vote for Montgomery Bell State Park as your favorite Tennessee State Park in the My TN State Park Fundraiser

For the entire month of April, Tennessee State Park supporters can donate to vote for their favorite Tennessee State Park. That means if Montgomery Bell State Park is your favorite, you can donate to vote for us, and we’ll use your donations to improve our park!

Your contributions significantly enhance the quality of our state parks. Donations support a range of vital projects, including improving hiking trails and bridges, conserving habitats for wildlife, upgrading playgrounds, installing interpretive signage, enhancing living conditions for our raptor friends, and bolstering equipment and supplies for emergency rescue services. Your support makes these essential projects possible, creating a better and more enjoyable experience for everyone who visits our state parks!

Montgomery Bell is hands-down my favorite Tennessee state park! The Lodge and restaurant are awesome (beautiful rooms, friendly service), the scenery is beautiful and the fishing is fantastic. It is my favorite weekend get-away.

I spent the most fun years of my childhood living at Montgomery Bell when my father was a Ranger and then Assistant Superintendent. It will always hold a special place in my heart thanks to amazing memories.

I go to Montgomery Bell almost everyday to walk the trails. It is so peaceful and beautiful! The people there who take care of the place do an amazing job! From the trails to the restaurant to the visitors center to keeping the trees cut up when they block a trail! These people are on it! Friendly and helpful as well! Love this park!

We love the tranquility of MBSP. My husband and I will ride our bikes through the parks and also love to kayak on their lakes. Great place to spend the day stress free!

I love to kayak the back lakes where it is hardly ever crowded. And I like to just drive thru the park or ride my electric bike and enjoy the woods. But we also have lots of friends with small kids and taking them to the swimming area in the lake in the summer is my FAVORITE - although I'm a handicapped veteran and that hill is a bit of a challenge - the more they can do to make parking closer to the swimming area for handicapped persons, the better!

About Montgomery Bell State Park

Located only 40 minutes from downtown Nashville in Dickson County, Montgomery Bell State Park serves as a natural oasis for city dwellers and a peaceful vacation destination for travelers. Three lakes are nestled into the 3,850-acre park, providing visitors the opportunity to soak up the sun on swim beach shores and paddle calm waters.

The park was once the center of the iron industry in Middle Tennessee. Its namesake, Montgomery Bell, formed one of the largest iron industries in the state. At the time, iron was considered more valuable than gold and was a highly lucrative industry.

Visitors can enjoy a natural retreat at the newly renovated Lodge at Montgomery Bell. The fully remodeled 117-room Lodge sits on the banks of Lake Acorn and provides a peaceful escape just minutes from the interstate. It features modern rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar open to park visitors, and 6,000 square feet of flexible event space. Guests can relax by the outdoor pool (open seasonally) or unwind with a craft beer in the lounge.

The park also offers eight environmentally-friendly modern cabins near Lake Acorn. The campground includes 109 campsites, accommodating everything from small pop-ups to large RVs up to 60 feet. Forty sites offer on-site sewer, and most are equipped with electricity.
