I have enjoyed Henry Horton State Park for many years - for church retreats in the hotel, cabin stays, playing golf, and enjoying their walking trails. It is a very well maintained park with a plethora of activities to choose from.

My wife and I love being so close to Henry Horton. She enjoys taking her elderly mother there for picnic lunches and I enjoy running there. We also enjoy the trails. The only disappointed is the fact they have closed the wonderful pool. What a relief during the dog days of summer!

When I moved south of Nashville, finding cared for green space was difficult. Many parks in the area are left unattended, but the work done at Henry Horton is second to none. Incredible staff, amazing nature.

Henry Horton is a tremendous benefit to our communities. I really feel blessed to have this crown jewel in our community. We really enjoy hiking here. I hope the Farmer's Market can make a comeback and the Pool reopens this year🤞

We love the programs, the campground, and the trails at Henry Horton. When our kids were smaller, they enjoyed the playground and the sand area. But nothing really beat playing on the riverbank.

About Henry Horton State Park
Henry Horton State Park was constructed in the 1960s on the estate of the former governor of Tennessee, Henry Horton. The park is located on the shores of the historic Duck River, one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Remnants of a mill and bridge operated and used by the family of Horton’s spouse for over a century may be seen today on the Wilhoite Mill Trail.
The park offers several lodging options, including a lodge, eight cabins, 56 RV campsites, 10 tent campsites, nine primitive campsites, and three backcountry campsites. There are also three group campsites available. The Restaurant and Lounge at Henry Horton are a destination for travelers and locals.
