We had a great day visiting the park, from Reading, UK. Managed to get up to the Fire Tower, and pour some water on my head, and ride the Old Mac North back down - long workable ride - to collapse at the gate. Thankyou!

I would love to come and visit one day when things are back to normal in the US and see the park that is home to the Barkely marathons.

I live close to Indianapolis, IN... and have only seen Frozen Head State Park in magazines, videos, and pictures. Once my registration for BFC 50K is selected, I'm going to enjoy every step at Frozen Head... going up or down! 🏁

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Frozen Head State Park! We hike there 2 to 3 times a week. The rangers are so friendly and knowledgeable. With guided hikes every month also. The trails are so clean and well kept. The mountains, waterfalls, trees, flowers, & critters just take our breath away every time. The forest is ever changing all year round. So lucky it's practically in our back yard!

A botanical treasure and a running naturalists delight. Trying to be positive about the new construction, hoping it will help more people appreciate the area, without contributing to the demise of the remote, rugged beauty of the park.

I've been hiking at Frozen Head since I moved to East Tennessee a decade ago. I love seeing so many birds and wildflowers here each spring.

This is for me and my mother, both! We have hiked a lot of miles in the park over the years, and always enjoy it.
